Different methods to take CBD
Vaping CBD is one of the most effective methods for taking CBD, the effect is typically felt within 2-5 minutes after vaping, and the effect can last between 2-4 hours
Usually the effects are felt around 60 minutes after they have been applied, and they can last between 5-6 hours
Effects of either using an oil/spray are felt after around 30 minutes and should last between 5 to 6 hours
Important factors that may influence your CBD dose
Now that we have established that everyone Is different. There are many factors which can influence the correct CBD dose for you.
The strength of CBD you are using
• The person's weight, age and general health
• The person's tolerance to CBD
• The reason for taking CBD.
First gauge how your body responds to CBD
Starting your journey with CBD, we always suggest you start with a low dose to gauge how your body responds to CBD. Our suggestion is one drop of CBD oil and listen to your body.
Are you experiencing any symptoms that are unusual for you?
Once you are happy with how you are feeling after a couple of weeks, you can up your dosage to the optimal amount.
These are common methods that we suggest to reach the optimal amount.
BUILDING A TOLERANCE TO CBDIt is quite common like most things that are regularly taken, the human body starts to build up a tolerance to CBD over time, most likely you will notice the benefits of taking CBD are not as effective.
Estimate your CBD dose based on body weight
The simplest method of finding the CBD dosage is to calculate CBD dose in accordance with your body weight.
As with many other substances and supplements, individuals with more body mass can require more CBD to experience the benefits. A CBD dose of between 1mg-5mg (milligrams) per 4.5kg body weight is often used to determine the right CBD dosage.
Your reason for taking CBD may also be an influencing factor, as well as your age and tolerance to CBD – so dosing using your body weight alone may not be an effective method for everyone.
The “ Slow and Low” method of introducing CBD to your daily routine
The other common method used to find the optimal dose of CBD, is this method you start with a low CBD dose, and slowly increase your intake each week until you reach the desired effect you are looking for.
A good starting point is 2-4mg of CBD, 3 times a day, for the first week. This will most likely equate to 1-2 drops (or sprays) of CBD oil, but this will depend on the strength of the oil you are using, spread the drops throughout the day. We suggest taking one drop in the morning, and one in the evening.
The next step is to gauge how your body reacts to that amount of CBD, then once you are comfortable increase gradually each week, while continuing to monitor your body’s reactions till you find the correct dosage that works for you.
Most people know when they have reached the optimal dose because a further increase in CBD does not affect how they are feeling from the initial benefits of using CBD. We advise you do not exceed the recommended 200mg daily CBD supplements.
There are circumstances where higher doses of CBD are beneficial from day one.
